AlcoDigital AL6000 Lite is the sister breathalyzer to the AL6000. Unlike the AL6000 it has a fixed sensor so it can be sent in for annual calibration giving you the confidence it has been checked in a lab and providing you accurate results year on year.
The ergonomically designed AL6000 Lite breathalyzer reads in Millirams per Litre of breath and provides measurements up to 2.00mg/l. It also comes with a soft pouch for added protection and subtlety when travelling with it.
English and Welsh Limit: 0.35Mg/L Scottish limit: 0.22 Mg/L
The AL6000 Lite’s slightly larger design to our AL2500 and AL5500 breathalyzers gives the unit room to hold a larger semi conductor sensor making it twice as accurate.

The AL6000 Lite breathalyzer is our only green coloured breathalyzer. It’s ergonomically designed shape makes it comfortable and easy to use.
Will it tell me if I am fit to drive? Provide a steady breath into the breathalyzer and your reading will be produced on the screen. If you are zero, then there is no alcohol in your breath content. If you do have alcohol left in your system a reading will be displayed on the screen. There is no safe level of alcohol to drive at so you can continue to use the breathalyzer until you get to zero. For the England/Wales/N.I and Scotland limits, you can find these on the packaging in the readings your unit provides.
Semi Conductor Sensor
The AL6000 Lite breathalyzer has semi conductor sensor which measures alcohol levels in your breath content and provides the result in Milligrams per Litre of Breath (Mg/L). The limit in England and Wales would read 0.35mg/l and in Scotland 0.22mg/l.
Alcohol in your breath produces an electrical charge on the sensor which can be converted into the reading on the breathalyzer screen. To get the most accurate reading you need to have finished consumption of alcohol, food, and smoke 20 minutes prior to testing. This will also help with the longevity of the unit.
What is my alcohol level? The AL6000 Lite can provide you the answer to this question but other than a breathalyzer, or a blood test, there is no other accurate way of knowing. Units of alcohol don’t produce a regular level of alcohol in your system. This can vary from person to person and day to day, effected by a number of different factors.
5 mouthpieces are provided with this unit. Mouthpieces help provide a steady flow of breath into the AL6000 Lite providing more consistent results. In addition to the mouthpiece the AL6000 has a small port where some of the breath provided can escape, helping the breathalyzer take a sample from the beginning middle and end of the breath, and stopping it close off from only the beginning of the breath.
LED and Audible Warnings
There are not many semi conductor breathalyzers that produce both an LED and an Audible warning with your alcohol level reading but the AL6000 range does. There are lights just below the screen which will provide a green, amber or red colour depending in addition to your reading and subtle warning sound.
The AL6000 Lite has a test counter so you know how many tests you have done and which one you are about to do. This will be displayed when you first turn the unit it on before it starts the warm up. The unit needs calibrating every 12 months or 500 tests (whichever comes first) so you can use the test counter to monitor your number of tests here.
The AL6000 Lite powers off itself if you forget to, within moments of providing a sample.
